Ms. Brannen was born
in Statesboro, Georgia and has always resided in the state of Georgia. She currently lives in Statham, which is
just outside of Athens. She graduated from the University of Georgia, where she was a majorette with the Redcoat Band. Performing
at football half-time shows made her a true Bulldog fan for life! In October of 2012, she returned to the field for an
alumni baton twirling performance during the UGA Homecoming Game; she is considering a return performance for Homecoming
2015! She enjoys working with the current UGA Majorettes and Feature Twirlers as an assistant coach for competition.
She earned a Master's Degree,
Integrating Technology in Education, from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and a Specialist Degree,
Administration and Supervision, from Lincoln Memorial University in Maryville, Tennessee.
Ms. Brannen enjoys reading, scuba diving,
writing, traveling and spending time with her
dogs, Buster and Max. A highlight of her 2010 summer was a two week Study Tour of Vietnam with educators from around the United
States.
